The Indio Clubhouse will remain closed until further notice.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley received word on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, that a staff member at one of our Clubs tested positive for COVID-19. This employee was not in direct contact with any Club members. The last day this employee worked at the Indio Clubhouse was June 10, 2020, and has been in self-quarantine ever since.
The Riverside County Health Department and Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been notified. All staff in direct contact with this employee have been tested and all results were negative - it is important to reiterate this employee was NOT in direct contact with any Club members.
As has been stated before, it is crucial that you continue to abide by all COVID-19 precautions, including wearing a face covering at all times when at a Club, washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water frequently throughout each day and keeping a social distance of at least 6 feet when in contact with anyone at a Club.
The safety and protection of our members is the number one priority of Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley. We are doing everything possible to keep Club members and staff protected from the COVID-19 virus. We will continue to keep you updated during this very challenging time. As always, we remain committed to our (your) kids.

The Story of Jose
The John Carroll and Jim O’Brien Clubhouse in Indio opened its doors to the community in 1966. Today, that one small clubhouse has grown into an organization comprised of a network of four full-service clubhouses, two boxing/athletic centers, and the Smilow Family Teen Center in Indio.
We strive to give our club members and our communities a better and brighter future. We meet kids and teens where they are and help them to take steps forward to reach their potential. By focusing on safety, academic support and character development.
